Comparing two evils

Richard Ramirez, an American serial killer, is, from my point of view, a super smart individual with a great deal of awareness.

I have always been interested in serial killers (from a psychological POV), and honestly, I usually watch documentaries and interviews about them. However, one interview that never fails to grab my attention is with the Night Stalker, Richard Ramirez.

There are some lines that resonate so much with me, and in this article, I want to explore these lines while comparing them to the present evil, which is Israel.

When Richard said this line he knew its weight, but what defines killing?

Killing is defined as an act of causing death, especially deliberately. Which means that the serial crimes of Richard are killing, killing a criminal during a police mission is killing, and also killing for self defense is undoubtedly killing, among others.

Despite the different conditions of the previous examples, they all result in the same outcome: Death.

But why Israel’s mass murder of Palestinians is no different than Ramierz’s serial killing?

The answer is simple, unlike Richard, Israel justified its mass murder by two pathetic excuses: self defense & collateral damage.

Sugarcoating the killing of more than 40000 Palestinians, most of whom are children, was an atrocious act that even serial killers like Richard didn’t commit, he at least admitted to his killing, unlike Israel.

We are all evil in some form or another. Are we not? . . . Yes I am evil. Not a hundred percent, but I am evil.

There are different types and degrees of evil, and obviously, Ramierz’s evilness was a harrowingly dangerous one. But he admitted to it.

This man didn’t argue that he wasn’t evil, he didn’t try to manipulate the public opinion about him, and he didn’t even attempt to play the role of the victim, despite the fact that his messed up past is a prefect justification. Israel, on the other hand used all the techniques of manipulation & propaganda to portray itself as the victim.

If you ask them if bombing hospitals & schools was evil, they will tell it was Hamas headquarters. If you mention the 12000 children they killed, they will either deny it or blame it on collateral damage. If you confront them with the awful suffering they inflicted on Palestinian, they will sob and tell you they were just defending themselves.

The media made me a superstar.

Media plays a major role in public opinion. The way they handle news significantly affects the event and future outcomes.

The portrayal of a serial killer as a superstar is a dreadful mistake that can have many harmful effects, such as people sympathizing with serial killers or even being seduced into becoming one themselves.

The media made the same mistake with Israel, by falsely portraying it as a victim and sugarcoating the genocide as self defense.

We’ve all got the power in our hands to kill, but most people are afraid to use it. The ones who aren’t afraid, control life itself.

Why are most people afraid to use the power to kill? I am talking here about potential criminals (excluding supposedly good people).

Well, because they are afraid of the consequences. Committing a crime means paying for it, but what happens when law & punishment disappears? Chaos happens & a simple example of that is how Israel got away with war crimes and genocide with impunity.

Israelis weren’t afraid to use their power to kill because they know the law doesn’t apply to them. Israel has mercilessly targeted Palestinians, committing mass murder, while international law has turned a blind eye.

I believe in the evil in human nature. This is a wicked, wicked world.

I witnessed the evilness and wickedness of our sick world during the last few months. World leaders have always been a true definition of evil, but they have now exceeded the limits of the evilest of the evil.

But what about the people? The people who are expected to at least have a minimum level of humanity. I have always believed that pure evil is low-key an exception, something relatively rare that is not supposed to be witnessed. But the so-called Israeli people snapped me out of it.

These so-called civilians celebrated the suffering of the Palestinians. They mocked their mourning and enjoyed their death. They didn’t even hesitate to openly support massacring Palestinians, even children.

Are all Israelis psychopaths? Are all of them pure evil? Did they have a messed-up past like Ramirez? It is crazy how evilness and wickedness have replaced these colonizers’ hearts. Indeed, it is a wicked, wicked world.

I don’t believe in the social system or the justice system. I think it’s a crock of shit.

Serial killers do, on a small scale, what governments do on a large one. They are products of our times and these are bloodthirsty times.

There is something that has always gotten on my nerves: why do serial killers get all the spotlight and people make a big deal out of them, while their own governments literally commit serial massacres?

A practical example of Ramirez’s statement is Israel, the modern serial killer of our era. Israel was established through the mass murder of the original inhabitants, the Palestinians, and it has maintained its illegal occupation by continually murdering them.

Israel has committed crimes more brutal than any of the most notorious serial killers you could think of, even enjoying sexually assaulting and brutally torturing Palestinians.

What makes Israel and Richard Ramirez different? The answer is simple: Ramirez was far less harmful. His scale was small, and his wickedness was limited. Unlike Israel, Ramirez wasn’t protected by the law.

He couldn’t commit his crimes with impunity and had to hide while committing them. On the other hand, Israeli soldiers’ sadistic crimes are committed with impunity, and they even brag about them.

Isn’t it terrifying how a whole so-called country is literally a serial killer? Serial genocide is Israel’s cup of tea, and no one is batting an eye.

The bloodshed Israel has caused could literally fill an ocean, but this madness has been normalized. Israel, without international law, is akin to a ruthless serial killer roaming freely.

Israel’s serial massacres must come to an end.

It is our duty as human beings to halt the bloodshed of innocent Palestinians.

The passage of nine months does not normalize the slaughter of innocent lives.

Silence equates to complicity in these serial massacres. Demanding accountability and a ceasefire for the ongoing genocide is our responsibility.

As Elie Wiesel said, “Indifference to me is the epitome of evil.”
